Dear Honor Guard,
 
Your organization sent a guard to Millersville Mennonite Cemtery to honor our 
father on August 28.
 
Our family would like to deeply and sincerely thank you for that service. The military gun salute was so very meaningful to our family. Our father’s service in the U.S. Marines changed the trajectory of 3+ generations. After service, he was able to afford college thanks to the G.I. Bill. His decision in 1954 to join the Marines greatly impacted our family (and will continue to do so).
 
By your presentation on that August day, you reminded all of us of the far-reaching influence and importance of the U.S. Military Services.
